Plan your daily routine

Know how much time you will need to put into your business once you start and before, when planning. Depending on whether you have a job or not, everyone of you will differently incorporate the time you have to work on your new business project in your day. Of course, it will take longer for some, for others less, not necessarily because some of you still have a job. It will depend on the complexity of the project or how well you plan it. Don’t get hung up on somebody else having more time and you not being able to do it because you have million other things to do. No matter how many things you have to juggle at the same time, there is always a way and yes, you can do it.

What’s important here is that you set some time in any part of the day to do all your tasks for business. It should be a large chunk of time, 2, 3, 4 hours, as much as you can set apart and as much as you need, when you forget about the rest of the world, when you don’t allow anyone or anything to interrupt you or disturb you. You focus on your work and finish whatever you set for that day. I cannot stress enough how important it is not to postpone or delay your work. Remember that what needs to be done has to be done to achieve the outcome you want. That means being persistant every day.

Focus on your highest leverage activities in the time you have; figure out what they are and do them first. It could be producing products or content, doing the actual consulting or marketing. If you are left with some time, and you will after you get into the habit of doing it this way, do other things. Always do it in that precise order and you will notice a giant increase in your productivity.

Plan what you need to get done every day; if you don’t, you are less likely to get anything done, or let’s just say anything really important. Look at the bigger picture, make a plan in advance. Think about what steps you need to take to achieve a certain business goal and then set a timeframe for every step. If you don’t know what you’re working for, you will stay at the exact same place you are right now. The optimal situation would be to reorganize yourself and your days (including other tasks) to achieve maximum productivity. Of course, that takes time, a lot of learning and trying. But, if you have motivation and if you keep your eye on the prize, you will keep going until you get it done.

How much you work in the begining will also tell you how much you will have to work later and it will show you what you need to work on more, what less. Planning ahead and learning about micro businesses won’t give you a headstart, it will give you a normal start that most miss. Things will happen faster that way, you will know what to do, spend less money, avoid unnecessary mistakes. You can still dive in and let things happen on their own, let the project take it’s course. What I’m saying is that it’s smart not to jump into something without having a clue about it. Only if what needs to be done gets done on a regular basis, you will achieve your micro business goal, and with proper planning and information you can save a lot of money.
