The
idea of tribes is “leading and connecting people and ideas.” – Seth Godin
You need to change your thinking because things are changing rapidly and we usually have a hard time adjusting to new ideas, to the way it is. The best way to create a successful micro business is to first start gathering a tribe. A tribe is “a group of people connected to one another, connected to a leader, and connected to an idea that inspires their passion…“.
You need to become a leader of a new or an existing tribe. Many tribes are out there, but they still need a leader, someone who will help them believe even more in what they believe now, someone who will educate them and help them grow, someone who will empower them to take action, contribute, speak up, connect or create.
You have to understand that people aren’t led by mass media or companies (even though it sometimes seems so). People follow other people; it has always been that way. Tribes aren’t formed around people though, they are formed around ideas. People are the ones that make tribes, they are the believers in an idea.
As a leader you need to become accessible and, most importantly, show them you are here because you want to, not because you need to. And really be there because you want to. Once you start leading people to do something that has never been done before, or something they haven’t done before, people will respect you and trust you. Money always comes later; help empower, be a leader. You don’t have to change the world. Every change you make, every person you impact in a good way is a great accomplishement.
Tribes mean a constant interaction and creation. Include people, don’t only create fans. When you add value, people come to you and they reciprocate.
